Atlanta, GA (August 26, 2019) – On Sunday night, August 25, police responded to the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident involving a tractor-trailer on I-85.
According to police, a woman on a motorcycle went through a light on I-85, which is when she was struck by a tractor-trailer that had been making a left turn onto the interstate.
Police claim that a firefighter saw the crash and the woman’s bike landing on the ground. There was no helmet at the scene and police said that she might not have been wearing one.
The 25-year-old woman was immediately rushed to the hospital but, while there, she was tragically pronounced deceased.
Police closed down the intersection for some time so that they could investigate. The investigation continues at this time.
