Calhoun, GA (August 29, 2019) – Police responded to the scene of a bicycle accident with injuries that took place around noon today, August 29, and led to injuries in one party.
The accident took place at the intersection of East Line Street and Willard Street in Calhoun. Police claim that the details about the accident are limited but have said that the bicyclist was struck by the driver of a motor vehicle.
A medical helicopter was called to the scene of the accident after a neighbor found the man and called police. The driver stayed at the scene of the accident.
At this time, it has only been confirmed that the driver of the bicycle received a serious head injury. We do not know his condition since he was hospitalized.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
