Acworth, GA (September 27, 2019) – Around 9 a.m. this morning, police responded to the scene of a car accident with injuries that took place on I-75 in Acworth, Cobb County.
The accident, according to authorities, took place in the northbound lanes of the highway and left only center lanes open. Police did not comment on the exact circumstances of the accident but said that one vehicle, a van, was badly damaged and turned around in traffic.
At least one or more people from within the van were injured and paramedics were helping in that area. An EMS vehicle, police cruiser, and firetruck were present at the scene.
There were massive delays throughout the area all morning. The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
