Albany, GA (September 7, 2019) – On Friday afternoon, September 6, police responded to the scene of a fatal accident that took place on East Oakridge Drive in Albany.
According to police, a 49-year-old woman was killed in the crash that took place between a passenger vehicle and a truck.
Police said that there were three passengers in the motor vehicle, all identified as women of different ages. The driver and passenger in the front seat survived the accident but were injured and their conditions are not known at this time. One of the backseat passengers was killed.
Officials said that the woman had car troubles and stopped in the roadway. An 18-wheeler truck was not able to stop in time and rear-ended their vehicle.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
