Atlanta, GA (September 15, 2019) – Authorities responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash that took place last night on I-20 and hospitalized twenty or more individuals.
According to police, some of the parties received serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital. The crash allegedly took place in the eastbound lanes of I-20. Three or more parties were listed in critical condition but are expected to survive, while fifteen or more were waiting for hospital transport for minor injuries.
Police are not sure of the exact circumstances that caused the vehicles to collide with one another. Motorists in the area were redirected to other roadways due to the extensive delays in the area while police and other responders worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
