Augusta, GA (September 26, 2019) – One person was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash that took place at a local intersection in Augusta around 9:15 p.m. last night, September 15.
The Richmond County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene of the accident, where they announced that one person was critically injured. They were rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead while there.
The crash took place at the intersection of Peach Orchard Road and Lumpkin Road. Police did not comment on whether or not the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene of the crash.
At this time, the investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
