Cleveland, GA (September 14, 2019) – On Friday night, September 13, a head-on collision took place on US-129 and led to injuries in five individuals.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash took place when a 58-year-old man in a Kia crossed over the center line for reasons that are unknown, striking an oncoming Ford Fusion. The two collided head-on.
The driver of the Fusion was identified as a 28-year-old woman. She and her passenger, another 28-year-old woman, were both injured and taken to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
The driver of the Kia also had two passengers in his vehicle, a 70-year-old man and 60-year-old woman. They were all injured and taken to a Gainesville hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Kia was charged with failing to maintain his lane. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
