Cordele, GA (September 21, 2019) – On Thursday, September 19, police responded to the scene of a truck accident at a local Cordele intersection where a life was previously taken.
Just this past week, a 60-year-old woman lost her life at the intersection of Old Hatley Road and GA-300. Two days ago, a serious truck accident involving an 18-wheeler and a passenger vehicle happened at the same intersection.
When police arrived, they found that two individuals involved in the accident received serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to the hospital but, luckily, they are expected to be okay.
Now, officials are taking action to put a stop to the injuries that take place at this dangerous intersection due to visibility issues and a need for better traffic lights.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
