Gainesville, GA (September 16, 2019) – Police have confirmed that three were hospitalized due to a car crash that took place on Browns Bridge Road in Gainesville.
The accident took place around 10:15 a.m. this morning. The Georgia State Patrol confirmed that several vehicles were involved in a collision with one another. Through the investigation, police discovered that a Dodge Journey was being driven by a 29-year-old man when it suddenly crossed the center line and sideswiped a tractor-trailer. The truck was being driven by a 45 year-old man from North Carolina.
The Dodge then crashed into a Chevrolet being driven by a 22-year-old man from Cumming. Debris from the collision then struck a pickup truck being driven by a 43-year-old man.
The driver of the Dodge and his passenger, a 35-year-old woman, were both injured. The driver of the Chevrolet was also injured. All three were taken to the hospital.
The Dodge driver was cited for failing to maintain his lane of travel. Police continue their investigation at this time.
