Macon, GA (September 12, 2019) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has been working on their investigation into a pedestrian accident that led to critical injuries in Macon.
The accident, according to authorities, took place at the intersection of Pierce Avenue and Sheffield Road around 7 a.m. yesterday morning, September 11.
At the time, police claim that a 37-year-old man was pushing his bike and attempting to cross the road at the intersection when he was suddenly struck by a vehicle. The vehicle that struck him was a 2019 Toyota Camry driven by a 17-year-old.
The pedestrian was rushed to the Navicent Health Medical Center and has been listed in critical condition. Nobody else was injured in the accident and police have said that no charges are pending.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
