Rocky Face, GA (September 3, 2019) – The Georgia State Patrol confirmed that a deputy was struck and injured in a pedestrian accident that took place on Lafayette Road.
According to police, the deputy was standing and directing traffic at the Westside Middle School this morning, September 3.
The deputy received a variety of injuries and was quickly transported to the Erlanger Medical Center by ambulance to be treated for those injuries.
The driver who struck the deputy was issued a citation for failing to obey authorized people directing traffic. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
