Villa Rica, GA (September 27, 2019) – Early this morning sometime after midnight, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision that happened on GA-402.
DeKalb County responders assisted the crash, including various EMS services, police departments, and more. The crash involved multiple vehicles, who collided with one another forcefully in a chain-reaction crash. Police are not sure what initially led up to the accident.
The accident blocked the right lane of traffic, leading to tough delays in the area. Police urged those driving in the area to use the Covington Highway and issued a travel advisory due to the severity of the crash.
Police have confirmed that there were injuries in the accident but they have not stated how many were injured or their conditions.
The investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident is ongoing at this time.
