Rome, GA (September 27, 2019) – Yesterday around 2 p.m., a serious truck crash with injuries took place at the intersection of Highway 140 and Thomas Bluff Road.
According to Rome Police, the crash took place when a truck and a passenger vehicle came through the intersection at the same time. The accident caused serious damages to both vehicles and also caused the truck to swerve off the side of the road and into a ditch.
Paramedics were present at the scene to assist those with injuries. Unfortunately, we do not know the full extent of the injuries involved at this time.
Traffic was slowed down to one lane through the area as first responders assisted at the scene and cleared the accident from the roadway.
The Rome Police Department continues its investigation into the accident.
