Albany, NY (September 25, 2019) – A woman was killed in a fatal two-vehicle crash that took place at 2300 Moultrie Road in Albany this afternoon.
According to police, the woman whose life was taken prematurely in this accident was identified as a 36-year-old. She lost her life when she was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident occurred when a vehicle side-swiped the woman’s vehicle, causing her to slide off the side of the road with force. Her car then flipped several times and landed in a ditch next to a phone pole.
Two other people were in the vehicle that rolled over. A man and a child were both taken to the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and are expected to be okay.
There are charges pending against the other driver for vehicular homicide and failing to maintain a lane.
The investigation is ongoing by Dougherty County Police at this time.
