Dawson, GA (September 25, 2019) – This afternoon around 5 p.m., a pedestrian accident involving a child took place at 500 Stonewall Street and led to serious injuries.
According to police, the accident took place when the child’s grandfather was leaving the house when his 3-year-old granddaughter walked behind the vehicle. The vehicle struck her as he was backing out of the driveway.
Police claim that the child’s grandfather did not see that his granddaughter walked behind the vehicle. She was badly injured due to the accident and was rushed by ambulance to the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The child’s condition is not known at this time. The Dawson Police Department has been working on their investigation into the accident.
