Cedartown, GA (September 12, 2019) – The Georgia State Patrol has been working on their investigation into a fatal bicycle accident that took place on Main Street in Cedartown.
The accident, according to police, occurred when a 37-year-old man was operating a Hyundai and traveling south on Main Street into Cedartown. A 38-year-old was on his bicycle traveling in the same direction.
Suddenly, for reasons that are not yet known, the Hyundai struck the rear of the bicycle. The bicyclist was thrown from his bicycle with force. According to police, he was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
Police have not stated whether or not there were charges due to the accident. Their investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
