Cordele, GA (September 11, 2019) – Police claim that the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident has been arrested and the victim’s identity has since been released after the accident in Cordele.
The suspect has since been identified as a 28-year-old woman, who turned herself in yesterday for the accident that took place on Monday, September 9. The victim was identified as a 54-year-old woman.
Police responded to the scene of the hit-and-run on Monday at 1600 Joe Wright Drive, where they found that the woman had been struck and killed in a pedestrian accident. They are not yet sure of the circumstances leading up to the accident.
At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
