Duluth, GA (September 8, 2019) – Gwinnett County Police and other responders assisted at the scene of a dump truck accident that led to injuries on Interstate 85.
The crash, according to police, took place this morning. It happened when a dump truck was headed toward an overpass and ran into the side. The road was immediately closed down in that area.
The Georgia Department of Transportation, who has been working on the accident, has said that one person has been transported to the hospital for treatment. Police did not say if it was somebody inside the dump truck or another party but they are still looking into this.
The roadway was closed down while crews checked out the bridge and its structure. At this time, their investigation into the accident continues.
