Lyerly, GA (September 8, 2019) – Around 5:30 p.m. this evening, September 8, it was reported that one person was killed in a fatal crash that took place on Highway 114 in Lyerly.
Police claim that the crash took place at 8000 Highway 114 when a vehicle went off the side of the road and crashed into a ditch. There were three people trapped inside the vehicle, including children. One person was killed at the scene of the crash.
Around 6:24 p.m., a medical helicopter landed in the area of the crash so that they could carry one patient to the hospital with serious injuries. Other victims were treated at the scene.
The highway in that area was closed down and has not since reopened as of yet. At this time, the police claim that the investigation is active.
