Gainesville, GA (September 12, 2019) – Police claim that a man was struck and injured in a pedestrian crash that took place on the Queen City Parkway in Gainesville.
The accident took place this morning at the intersection of Aviation Boulevard and Queen City Parkway. The Georgia State Patrol were called to the scene of the accident and found that a 41-year-old man had been walking in the intersection around 6:45 a.m. when he was suddenly struck by a Chrysler Pacifica.
The area had not been lit well, according to authorities. There is also no crosswalk in the intersection.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with injuries but is expected to be okay. The driver of the Chrysler was identified as a 19-year-old man who will not face charges.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
