Monroe, GA (September 25, 2019) – The Monroe Fire Department and responding police assisted at the scene of a serious accident with injuries that took place on the Highway 78 ramp last night.
According to police, at least two or more vehicles collided on the Highway 78 ramp leading onto Spring Street for reasons that are still under investigation.
The ramp was closed down for an hour due to the clearing of debris and immense damages to both vehicles. The wreck happened just before midnight last night, September 24. One person was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The Georgia State Patrol continues their investigation into the accident at this time.
