Ochlocknee, GA (September 16, 2019) – On Sunday, September 15, police confirmed that a fatal two-car accident took place at the intersection of GA-3 and Highway 188, or Main Street and Stewart Road in Ochlocknee.
The person whose life was taken in the accident was identified as a 23-year-old man. The party was identified as the sole passenger in a Ford Ranger.
The Georgia State Patrol found in their preliminary investigation that a Toyota failed to yield at the stop sign at the intersection, causing the Ford to strike the Toyota. The Ford then flipped onto the passenger’s side.
Other parties involved in the accident were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment of a variety of injuries. Charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
