Macon, GA (September 16, 2019) – On Sunday, a man died after being struck in a pedestrian accident last week in Macon. The man was originally hospitalized in critical condition due to the accident.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as a 37-year-old man, who passed away yesterday around 4:30 p.m. He was initially struck by a 17-year-old driver in a Toyota last Wednesday at the intersection of Pierce Avenue and Sheffield Road. Police claim that he was pushing his bicycle and crossing the road when he was struck.
The teen driver did not face any charges due to the accident.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the accident at this time.
